About Crosby
Crosby is a 17 year old junior in high school who has dyslexia, ADHD and auditory processing differences. She knows firsthand how difficult and isolating school can feel for a child who learns differently. The anxiety, frustration, and self-doubt that often begin at a very young age were very real for her.
What changed for Crosby was not fixing the way she learned, but learning strategies and receiving the right supports to help her thrive in the way she learns best. Over time, she gained confidence, learned to advocate for herself, and began to learn that her learning differences did not define her limits of her future.
Crosby created Crosby’s corner because she wishes she had someone like this when she was younger – a mentor who truly understood what it felt like to struggle and could say, “I’ve been there and it gets better.”
Today, Crosby is thriving, and she wants younger girls to know that their story can be one of growth and success too. As a teen mentor, she offers encouragement, perspective and reassurance – helping girls feel seen, supported and capable. Her role is not academic tutoring, but building confidence, self-advocacy, and belief.
Crosby’s Corner is grounded is a simple truth: when girls who learn differently are given understanding, connection, and support, they can flourish. Crosby’s story is proof of that – and she is there to help younger girls begin writing their own success stories as well.
